Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Tisko, including the website, accounts, simulations, and related services (the “Service”). Tisko is operated by Alexandre Scherer (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The English version of these Terms is the binding version. Translations of the site interface are for convenience only.

2. What Tisko is

Tisko is a simulation tool. You describe savings, a mix of investments, contributions, withdrawals, and other assumptions. The Service then runs many possible paths so you can look at a range of outcomes.

The Service is for personal information and education. It is software, not a human adviser sitting with you.

Tisko does its computation on a Tisko server. That includes simulation runs and the other work the Service performs for your account. Your browser sends the request and shows what the server returns.

Assistant work is an API call from the Tisko server to a third-party superintelligence provider, such as Grok. The call includes what you type or say to the assistant and the case information needed to answer. It does not include your password or your payment card. The provider processes that content under its own terms.

3. Not advice

Tisko does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, or insurance advice. Nothing on the Service is an offer, solicitation, or recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, property, or other asset.

Simulation results are hypothetical. They depend on the numbers you enter, on simplified models, and on samples of past returns. Past returns are not a promise of future returns. A typical path, a cautious path, and a table of years are illustrations, not a forecast of what will happen to you.

You remain responsible for your own decisions. If you need advice, consult a qualified professional who knows your situation.

4. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You must give a real email address that you control and keep your password secret.

You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at the contact address below if you think someone else has used it.

We may refuse, suspend, or close an account if we believe these Terms have been broken, if the account looks abusive or automated, or if we need to protect the Service or other users.

5. Plans and payment

The Service is offered as Free, Personal (12 US dollars per month), and Professional (65 US dollars per month). A pack of 10 extra runs is 5 US dollars. Features and limits of each plan may change as the Service develops. We will describe the current lineup on the Plans page.

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment processor. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges until you cancel. You can cancel through the customer portal or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not usually refund the current period unless the law requires it or we agree otherwise.

Prices are in US dollars unless we say otherwise. Taxes may apply. We may change prices; we will give reasonable notice before a change affects your next paid period.

A simulation run may require you to be signed in. We may later tie some features to a paid plan. Using the Service after such a change means you accept the new lineup as shown on the Plans page.

6. Acceptable use

Use the Service only for lawful purposes and only for your own planning, or for people who have asked you to help them plan.

You may not: try to break into the Service; overload or scrape it; reverse engineer it except as the law allows; share your login; resell access; upload malware; or use the Service to mislead others about money, risk, or returns.

You may not use Tisko as a regulated investment service, a public forecast, or a stamp of approval on any product.

7. Your inputs and our rights

You keep whatever rights you have in the numbers and notes you type in. You give us a licence to host, process, and display that material as needed to run the Service for you, to keep backups, and to fix problems.

The Service, including its design, text, software, and documentation, belongs to us or to our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Service under these Terms. You may download your own run results for your personal use.

You may not copy the Service, remove notices, or use our name or mark in a way that suggests we endorse you.

8. Privacy and cookies

We collect the account details you give us (such as email and username), the inputs you submit for simulations, and technical data needed to run and secure the Service. We use that information to provide the Service, to communicate with you about your account, and to improve Tisko.

We use cookies, mainly for analytics if you accept them, and for things the site needs in order to work (such as keeping you signed in). You can accept or reject analytics cookies in the cookie banner.

We do not sell your personal information. We may use processors who help us host the site, send mail, or take payment. For assistant work, we send the conversation and the related case information to a third-party superintelligence provider, such as Grok, through an API call, as described in section 2. We keep information for as long as your account exists and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for security, tax, or legal reasons.

9. Religious and other legal standards

Tisko has not been reviewed or certified for compliance with Sharia or with any other religious or ethical investment standard. Historical return samples and default mixes are general statistics. They are not a Sharia, ESG, or similar screen.

If that kind of compliance matters to you, you must apply your own rules or take advice from someone qualified in that field. A warning on the site when Arabic is selected is a reminder of this limit, not a full legal analysis.

10. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Simulations can take time, fail, or be queued. We may change, suspend, or stop features, including free use, with or without notice when we need to maintain or protect the Service.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that results are correct, complete, or suitable for any decision, that the models match any market, or that files you download are error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising from your use of the Service or from any simulation result.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars.

Some places do not allow certain limits. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum the law allows. These Terms do not limit liability that cannot be limited, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that cannot be excluded.

13. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your use of simulation results in a way that harms someone else.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account by contacting us. We may suspend or end access if you break these Terms or if we shut the Service down.

Sections that by their nature should survive (including not-advice, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and general terms) survive termination.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will change the “Last updated” date and, when a change is material, we will try to give notice (for example by email or a note on the site). Continued use after the update means you accept the new Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service.

16. General

These Terms are the agreement between you and us for the Service. They replace prior terms for the same subject. If a court finds a part unenforceable, the rest still applies.

We may assign these Terms in connection with a reorganisation or transfer of the Service. You may not assign your account without our consent.

No waiver is implied by our delay in enforcing a right. These Terms do not create a partnership, employment, or fiduciary relationship.

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to the operator of Tisko, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please write to us and give us a reasonable chance to resolve the issue.
